Cooking instructions

Instructions for 2 [for 3] [for 4] portion recipe.

1

Preheat the oven to 220°C/ 200°C (fan)/ gas 7

Peel and slice your brown onion[s]

Peel and grate (don't chop!) your garlic

Grate your cheddar cheese

Step 1
2

Add the sliced onion to one side of a large oven-proof dish (or two!), then top with your mince (remove the paper if required!)

Step 2
3

Coat your gnocchi in a drizzle of olive oil and add it to the other side of the dish[es]

Put the dish[es] in the oven for an initial 25 min or until the pork is cooked through (no pink meat!) and the gnocchi is crispy and golden

Tip: Check your gnocchi and mince half way through, break up your meat and give the gnocchi a stir for even crispiness!

Step 3
4

After an initial 25 min, boil half a kettle

Remove the gnocchi & pork from the oven and add your beef stock mix, tomato paste, ground smoked paprika and the grated garlic with 200ml [260ml] [340ml] boiled water

Season with a pinch of salt and sugar

Give everything a good mix up and return the dish[es] to the oven for a 5-6 min or until the sauce has thickened slightly

Step 4
5

While your sauce is thickening, wash your salad, then pat dry with kitchen paper

Step 5
6

Once the sauce has thickened, remove your dish[es] from the oven and top with the grated cheese

Return to the oven for a final 5 min or until the cheese has melted – this is your oven baked pork 'cheeseburger' gnocchi bake

Step 6
7

Meanwhile, in a large bowl combine your mustard ketchup and mayo with a drizzle of olive oil and a small splash of cold water

Add the salad and toss to coat

Step 7
8

Leave the oven baked pork 'cheeseburger' gnocchi bake to stand for 5 min before serving (this helps the flavours to develop and makes it easier to serve!)

Serve with the dressed salad to the side
