Cooking instructions

Instructions for 2 [for 3] [for 4] portion recipe.

Preheat the oven to 220°C/ 200°C (fan)/ gas 7

Stack your tortillas and slice them into triangles

Add the tortilla triangles to a baking paper-lined baking tray (or two!) with a drizzle of vegetable oil

Give everything a good mix up, then spread them out and put the tray[s] in the oven for 6-8 min or until lightly browned and crisp – these are your nachos

Meanwhile, peel and finely slice your brown onion[s]

Chop your meat-free patty[ies] into rough bite-sized pieces

Grate your tomato[es]

Tip: Keep your palm flat while grating!

Grate your cheddar cheese finely

Once the nachos are done, set them aside

Add your chopped meat-free patty[ies], meat-free bacon lardons and the sliced onion to the baking tray[s]

Top the onion with a knob of butter and a pinch of sugar

Put the tray[s] in the oven for 15 min or until cooked through

Add the grated tomato to a small bowl with a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of salt and pepper – this is your tomato salsa

Slice your green chilli[es] finely

Add the sliced chilli to a small bowl with your white wine vinegar and a pinch of salt – this is your pickled chilli

Once everything is cooked, set the roasted onion aside

Add the nachos to the tray with the meat-free burger & bacon and give everything a good mix up

Top with the grated cheese and the roasted onion, then put the tray[s] in the oven for 2-3 min or until the cheese has melted – this is your meat-free bacon cheeseburger nachos

Serve the meat-free bacon cheeseburger nachos

Drizzle over your mustard ketchup, tomato ketchup, mayo and the tomato salsa

Top with the pickled chilli
