Marmite Pineapple Pizza With Bacon
Love it or hate it.. we've put pineapple on a pizza and glazed it in Marmite! Top our flame-baked pizza bases with sweet 'n' salty Marmite-glazed pineapple and crispy bacon lardons, and serve with a rocket salad.

Olive oil, Pepper, Sugar, Water, Salt (or dietary alternatives)
Cooking instructions
Instructions for 2 [for 3] [for 4] portion recipe.
Preheat the oven to 220°C/ 200°C (fan)/ gas 7
Put a large baking tray (or two!) in the oven to heat up (this will stop the pizza bottoms from going soggy!)
Tip: Cooking for 4? Use 2 trays!
Drain your pineapple thoroughly, stack them up and cut them into quarters

Add the pineapple slices to a bowl with your Marmite and give it a good mix up until all of the pineapple is coated – this is your Marmite pineapple

Peel and finely chop (or grate) your garlic
Add your tomato paste to a bowl with the chopped garlic and a generous pinch of salt, pepper and 1 tsp [1 1/2 tsp] [2 tsp] sugar
Add 5 tbsp [7 1/2 tbsp] [10 tbsp] cold water and give everything a good mix up – this is your tomato sauce

Drain and pat your mozzarella dry with kitchen paper (squeeze as much liquid out as you can)
Tear the drained mozzarella into rough, bite-sized pieces

Wash your salad, then pat it dry with kitchen paper

Remove the heated tray[s] from the oven and add your pizza bases
Divide the tomato sauce between the pizza bases and spread it evenly all over them with the back of a spoon

Top the pizzas with the mozzarella, bacon lardons and Marmite pineapple
Drizzle with some olive oil and put the tray in the oven for 16-18 min or until the bacon is cooked through – these are your Marmite pineapple pizzas with bacon
Wash your salad, then pat it dry with kitchen paper

Drizzle the salad with your balsamic vinegar and a drizzle of olive oil
Serve the Marmite pineapple pizza with bacon with the salad to the side
