Tteokbokki-Style Gnocchi With Sesame Broccoli
Seoul meets Salento with this speedy 10-minute take on Korean rice cakes. You'll crisp up gnocchi and green beans before coating the lot in aromatic gochujang and tomato paste. Top with heaps of melty cheddar and a side of Tenderstem broccoli. Banging. Under 600 calories.

Get all your ingredients and equipment ready

Now, let's get started!
Boil a kettle

Heat a large, wide-based pan (preferably non-stick) with a generous drizzle of vegetable oil over a high heat
Once hot, add your gnocchi and green beans and cook for 3-4 min or until the gnocchi begins to crisp and the green beans slightly char
Tip: Don't stir too often as this will prevent the gnocchi from crisping!

Add your Tenderstem broccoli to a pot and cover with plenty of boiled water
Bring to the boil over a high heat and cook for 3-4 min or until tender with a slight bite

Once the gnocchi is crisp, add a knob of butter
Once melted, add your roasted garlic paste and gochujang paste and cook for 1-2 min or until fragrant

Once fragrant, add your tomato paste with a pinch of sugar and splash of boiled water and stir it all together
Cook for 2-3 min or until the sauce evenly coats the gnocchi – this is your tteobokki-style gnocchi
Tip: If you like it more saucy add a splash more water!

Trim, then slice your spring onion[s]
Grate your cheddar cheese finely

Serve the tteobokki-style gnocchi with the Tenderstem broccoli to the side
Drizzle your toasted sesame oil over the Tenderstem broccoli and season with a pinch of salt
Sprinkle the grated cheese over the gnocchi with a pinch of pepper
Garnish with sliced spring onion
