Cooking instructions

Instructions for 2 [for 3] [for 4] portion recipe.

1.

Before you begin...

Get all your ingredients and equipment ready

Skim through these steps, then wash your fruit and veg

Note: Equipment and pan sizes vary. Make sure you cook food thoroughly (even if it takes you a little longer than 10 min)

Step 1
2.

Now, let's get started!

Boil a kettle

Heat a large, wide-based pan (preferably non-stick) with a drizzle of vegetable oil over a high heat

Once hot, add your mince with a pinch of salt and cook for 1-2 min, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as you go

Step 2
3.

Meanwhile, add your fine egg noodles to a large bowl, cover them with boiled water until fully submerged and stir for 10 secs until the noodles separate

Set aside to soak for 4 min, or until the noodles have softened

Step 3
4.

While the noodles are soaking, deseed your pepper[s] (scrape the seeds and pith out with a teaspoon) and cut into thin strips

Step 4
5.

Add the pepper strips and ginger paste to the pan

Cook for 3-4 min or until the mince has started to brown and the pepper has softened

Step 5
6.

Once the mince has browned, add your soy sauce and red chilli relish to the pan

Cook for a final 3-4 min or until the sauce is sticky and the mince is cooked through (no pink meat!) – this is your sticky ginger mince

Step 6
7.

Drain the softened noodles and add them to the pan

Season with a generous pinch of salt and stir through your toasted sesame oil – this is your sticky ginger & sesame mince noodles

Step 7
8.

Serve the sticky ginger & sesame mince noodles

Garnish with your toasted sesame seeds

Enjoy!
