Toaster, microwave or kettle-friendly – this is dinner without the cooking. You'll stuff warm roti with spicy sambal chicken and salad before drizzling with sriracha. Banging.

Before you begin, get all your ingredients and equipment ready

Skim through these steps, then wash your fruit and veg

You can only heat your food once, then enjoy straight away

Note: Microwave ovens vary. Make sure you heat food thoroughly (even if it takes you a little longer than 10 min)

Now, let's get started!

Wash your lettuce, then pat it dry with kitchen paper and roughly shred

Peel your carrot[s], then continue to peel lengths until you end up with a pile of carrot ribbons

Zest half your lime[s] (try to grate lightly with a micro-plane or sharp box grater and avoid grating the white pith, as this is very bitter) then cut the zested lime in half

Add the juice of half the lime to a large bowl with a pinch of salt, 1 tsp [1 1/2 tsp] [2 tsp] sugar and a drizzle of olive oil and stir it all together – this is your zesty dressing

Slice the remaining lime into 1 wedge per person

Add the carrot ribbons and shredded lettuce to the zesty dressing and toss – this is your zesty salad

Combine your sambal (can't handle the heat? Go easy!), soy sauce and mayo in a small bowl with a splash of cold water and stir it all together – this is your sambal sauce

Add your cooked shredded chicken to the bowl and give everything a good mix up - this is your sambal chicken

Add your roti to a plate and pop in the microwave for 20 secs on high or until warmed

To assemble, divide the zesty salad and sambal chicken between the warmed roti

Drizzle with your sriracha (not a fan of spice? Just add a little!) and serve a lime wedge to the side
