Meat-Free Chick'n & Pepper Chow Mein
Get this takeaway classic on the table in 10 minutes. You'll toss noodles with meat-free chick'n, red pepper and mangetout, and coat with a homemade version of the famous sticky sauce. Sizzle, stir, done!

Before you begin...
Get all your ingredients and equipment ready

Now, let's get started!
Boil a kettle
Heat a large, wide-based pan (preferably non-stick) with a drizzle of vegetable oil over a high heat
Deseed your sweet pointed pepper[s] (scrape the seeds and pith out with a teaspoon), then chop roughly

Once the pan is hot, add your meat-free chick'n and chopped pepper and cook for 4-5 min or until the meat-free chick'n is starting to brown

Meanwhile, add your medium egg noodles to a pot and cover with boiled water until fully submerged
Bring to the boil over a high heat and cook for 5-6 min or until cooked with a slight bite
Once done, drain and set aside

Once the meat-free chick'n has browned, add your mangetout and cook for 2-3 min further

Add your soy sauce, hoisin sauce and toasted sesame oil to the pan and cook for 30 secs or until everything is warmed through

Add the drained noodles and give everything a good mix up – this is your meat-free chick'n & pepper chow mein

Serve the meat-free chick'n & pepper chow mein
