Cooking instructions

Instructions for 2 [for 3] [for 4] portion recipe.

1.

Preheat the oven to 220°C/ 200°C (fan)/ gas 7

Cut your potato[es] (skins on) into fries

Step 1
2.

Add the fries to a baking paper-lined baking tray (or two!) with a drizzle of vegetable oil and a pinch of salt and pepper and give everything a good mix up

Put the tray[s] in the oven for 25-30 min or until crisp and golden

Step 2
3.

Slice your cheddar cheese thinly

Step 3
4.

Wash then remove leaves (1 per person!) from your lettuce, pat it dry with kitchen paper and set aside

Chop the inner core into quarters, lengthways

Step 4
5.

Heat a large, wide-based pan (preferably non-stick) with a drizzle of vegetable oil over a medium heat

Once hot, add your meat-free patty[ies], press them down firmly with a spatula and cook for 5 min on one side or until lightly charred

Step 5
6.

Once lightly charred, flip the patty[ies] and increase the heat to medium-high and cook for a further 3 min or until browned on both sides

Top with the sliced cheese and your smoked sea salt flakes, cover with a lid and cook for a final 2 min or until the cheese has melted and the burger[s] is cooked through

Step 6
7.

Slice your brioche bun[s] in half (if required!)

When the fries are almost cooked, add the brioche halves to the baking tray[s], cut side up, on top of the fries and return to the oven for 4-5 min or until warmed through

Step 7
8.

To build your burger, top each warmed brioche base with a lettuce leaf, cheesy patty, your tomato ketchup, mayo and a warmed brioche lid – this is your pork & beef cheeseburger

Serve the pork & beef cheeseburger with the fries and lettuce wedges to the side

Drizzle the lettuce with a little olive oil and season with a pinch of pepper

Enjoy!
