Honey & Mustard Glazed Sausage Baguette

Quick, easy and super low prep – this sausage sarnie hits the spot. You'll stuff crusty baguette with honey and mustard-glazed sausages, caramelised onions and crispy wedges. Serve up with a tangy mustard slaw on the side and dig in.

Before you begin...

This recipe takes around 5-10 min to prep, so get your ingredients ready, then wash your fruit and veg

Now, let's get started!

Preheat the oven to 220°C/ 200°C (fan)/ gas 7

Chop your potatoes into wedges

Peel and chop your brown onion[s] into wedges

Add the onion wedges to a large piece of tin foil (or two!) with a large knob of butter, a small pinch of salt and half your honey (you'll use the rest later!)

Scrunch the foil around the onion wedges to form a tightly sealed parcel and add to a baking paper-lined baking tray (or two!)

Add your sausages to the tray[s] and put in the oven for 20-25 min or until the sausages are cooked through (no pink meat!) and the onions are softened

Add the potato wedges with a drizzle of vegetable oil and a pinch of salt to another baking paper-lined baking tray (or two!) and put in the oven for 20-25 min or until golden and crisp

Mix the remaining honey with half your wholegrain mustard in a small bowl – this is your honey & mustard glaze

Combine your mayo with the remaining wholegrain mustard in a large bowl

Add your carrot & cabbage slaw mix and give everything a good mix up – this is you mustard slaw

Once the sausages are cooked, remove the tray[s] from the oven

Spoon the honey & mustard glaze over the sausages and return to the oven for a final 2-3 min or until the sausages are sticky – these are your honey & mustard glazed sausages

Cut a slit into the top of your baguette[s]

Once the wedges are nearly ready, remove the tray[s] from the oven and add the sliced baguette[s] and cook for 2-3 min or until warmed through and crusty

Slice your sausages in half diagonally

Fill the baguette with the sweet onions and honey & mustard glazed sausages and drizzle with the tomato ketchup

Serve the potato wedges and mustard slaw to the side
