Hoisin Chicken & Spinach Noodles
Toaster, microwave or kettle-friendly – this is dinner without the cooking. You'll coat cooked chicken, noodles and spinach in an umami-packed hoisin sauce before serving up. Delicious.

Get all your ingredients and equipment ready

You can only reheat your food once, then enjoy straight away
Note: Microwave ovens vary. Make sure you heat food thoroughly (even if it takes you a little longer than 10 min)

Now, let's get started!
Boil a full kettle
Add your fine egg noodles to a large bowl, cover them with boiled water and stir for 10 secs to separate the noodles
Set aside to soak for 4 min or until softened
Drain the soaked noodles

Top, tail, peel and grate your carrot[s]

Wash your spinach then add to a colander and pour boiled water all over it so that it starts to wilt
Rinse the wilted spinach under cold running water until it's cool
Once cool, squeeze as much water out of the spinach as you can

Combine your cornflour in a large heatproof bowl with your hoisin sauce, ginger & garlic paste, ketjap manis and 2 tbsp [3 tbsp] [4 tbsp] cold water
Give it a good mix up until well combined – this is your hoisin sauce
Put the hoisin sauce in the microwave for 1-2 min, stirring once half way though, or until hot and thickened

Once the sauce is ready, add your cooked shredded chicken
Give everything a good mix up until well combined, then return the bowl to the microwave for 30 secs - 1 min or until warmed through – this is your hoisin chicken

Once everything is ready, add the drained noodles, wilted spinach and grated carrot to the bowl with the hoisin chicken
Give everything a good mix up – this is your hoisin chicken & spinach noodles
