Camembert Xmas Dirty Fries With Pigs In Blankets
Wrap up with these blankets. Roast up carrot and parsnip batons with your chips and pigs in blankets till crispy, then pile on gooey camembert fresh from the oven. Drench it all in cranberry gravy and scatter crispy onions and chives over the top.

Instructions for 2 [for 3] [for 4] portion recipe.
Preheat the oven to 220°C/ 200°C (fan)/ gas 7
Cut your potatoes (skins on) into chips
Peel and slice your brown onion[s] into thin wedges
Peel and finely chop (or grate) your garlic
Top, tail and chop your parsnip[s] into quarters lengthways, then into batons
Top, tail and chop your carrot[s] into batons
Add the chips, pigs in blankets, onion wedges, parsnip and carrot batons and chopped garlic to a baking paper-lined baking tray (or two!) with a drizzle of vegetable oil and a generous pinch of salt and pepper
Give everything a good mix up and put the tray[s] in the oven for an initial 25 min or until beginning to golden and crisp
Boil half a kettle
Chop your chives finely
Cut your camembert[s] in half
Add your gravy base and cranberry sauce to a measuring jug with 100ml [130ml] [170ml] boiled water
Put it in the microwave for 1 min – this is your cranberry gravy
Remove the tray[s] from the oven
Push the chips, pigs in blankets and root veg into 1 pile per person, then top with the halved camembert cheese
Return the tray to the oven for 6-7 min or until the cheese has melted – these are your camembert Xmas dirty fries with pigs in blankets
Serve the camembert Xmas dirty fries with pigs and blankets, and drizzle the cranberry gravy over the top
Top with the chopped chives and your crispy onions
