Asian-Style Jumbo Prawn Burger With Sesame Fries
Were you prawn to be wild? Try this Gousto twist on the humble hamburger. You'll load your bun with juicy panko-coated jumbo prawns, add a dollop of sweet chilli mayo and serve up with crunchy sesame fries.

Vegetable oil, Pepper, Flour, Salt, Sugar (or dietary alternatives)
Cooking instructions
Instructions for 2 [for 3] [for 4] portion recipe.
Preheat the oven to 220°C/ 200°C (fan)/ gas 7
Cut your potatoes (skins on) into fries
Add the fries to a baking tray (or two!) with a drizzle of vegetable oil, a pinch of salt and pepper and half of your black sesame seeds (save the rest for later!)
Give everything a good mix up and put the tray[s] in the oven for 25-30 min or until golden and crisp

While the fries are cooking, slice your cucumber[s] into discs
Slice each individual cucumber disc into matchsticks

Combine your mayo and red chilli relish in a small bowl – this is your chilli mayo

Add 3 tbsp [4 1/2 tbsp] [6 tbsp] flour to a plate
Crack your egg[s] into a shallow bowl and beat with a fork
Add your panko breadcrumbs, the remaining black sesame seeds and a pinch of salt to another plate and mix it all up – this is your sesame panko mix

Drain your jumbo prawns
Add the jumbo prawns to the flour and mix them up until nicely coated (tap off any excess)
Add the floured jumbo prawns to the beaten egg, then add them to the sesame panko mix, pressing down firmly to coat them all over – these are your breaded jumbo prawns

Heat a large, wide-based pan (preferably non-stick) over a high heat
Slice your brioche bun[s] in half (if required!)
Once hot, add the brioche halves, cut-side down, and cook for 3 min or until toasted and charred, then set aside until serving

Return the pan to a high heat with a drizzle of vegetable oil
Once hot, add the breaded jumbo prawns and cook for 6-8 min or until cooked through, golden and crispy – these are your crispy sesame jumbo prawns
Tip: Cooking for 3 or more? Do this in batches!
Tip: Add a drizzle of extra oil if your pan is looking a little dry

To assemble, spread the chilli mayo over the toasted brioche halves, top with the crispy sesame jumbo prawns and cucumber matchsticks – this is your Asian-style prawn burger
Serve with the sesame fries, any remaining chilli mayo and cucumber matchsticks to the side
